Welcome Back to a Great New School Year!
There’s something special about September, a time for new beginnings, fresh ideas, and reconnecting with friends. We are thrilled to welcome our returning families and new faces to our school community! We hope you all had an enjoyable summer break, whether that meant relaxing, taking on extra responsibilities at home, or caring for siblings. We look forward to seeing everyone back in the building on Tuesday, September 8!

Daily Schedule & Key Procedures
School Hours & Nutrition Breaks
- School Hours: 8:45 AM – 3:05 PM
- 1st Nutrition Break: 10:45 AM – 11:25 AM
- 2nd Nutrition Break: 1:25 PM – 2:05 PM
Morning Drop-off & Tarmac Safety: To ensure student safety and smooth morning routines, we ask that all parents and guardians say goodbye to their children outside on the tarmac. Adults are not permitted to enter the school building with their children during morning arrival. Our staff will be outside ready to assist students into their classrooms!
Parking Lot & Traffic Safety: The parking lot is strictly for staff use. With ongoing work on our roof and classrooms, we will also have numerous construction vehicles taking up space, leaving no room for family parking during arrival and dismissal times.
- Please park on side streets and walk your child to the school grounds.
- At drop-off and pick-up, our accessibility spots are reserved for families with students requiring mobility access.
- A designated Visitor Spot is available exclusively for short-term pick-ups/drop-offs during the school day (outside of peak drop-off/dismissal hours).
- Due to heavy equipment, the parking lot is not a safe walking path. Please use designated walkways and cross with our crossing guard and the walkway beside the school.
Late Arrivals, Early Pick-ups & Dropping Off Items
- Late Arrivals / Early Pick-ups: Enter through the office to sign your child in or out. Please fill out the sign-in sheet completely (student name, grade, teacher, and reason) so we can update our attendance system accurately.
- Item Drop-offs: If dropping off items during the day, please place them on the labelled table near the entrance. Use the provided paper to write your child’s name and classroom so we can call them down when appropriate.
Construction Update: Our office space will be functional for the start of school, but our front door and electronic sign are still undergoing work. For any administrative needs, please knock on the office window upon arrival and Mrs. Baumgartner will assist you or direct you to our temporary spot in the gym.
Pet Policy Reminder: Per WRDSB board policy, pets are not permitted on school property at any time (including drop-off and pick-up). Many students have severe allergies or fears. Please leave pets at home or wait off school grounds. (Certified service animals are exempt).
Enjoy the final day of summer break—we can’t wait to see you all on tomorrow morning!
